Arcade Fire Plays Grandpa’s Funeral

I dreamt of that band the Arcade Fire the other day. My dad asked me to call them to see if they were willing to perform at my grandpa’s funeral. I called. One of the band members picked up the phone.

After listening to my request, he said to me, “Yes, we had an album called “Funeral,” but we are not a funeral band.” I said I knew and kept begging him. I gave him all the reasons he should do it and told him that my grandpa was a great man. He put his handset aside for a while to ask another band members for their opinions. After some hesitation they finally agreed to do it.

Before he hung up the phone, he kept repeating “one song, we’ll ONLY perform ONE song.” I can’t recall whether they performed or not, and I only remember one later part of the dream.

I was with some female National Guard people. We were helping local firefighters to put out a building fire, and I was standing near the fire truck. What was odd in this scene was that people were standing on the balcony and pouring water out of the building, while there was also fire and smoke coming out of it. It didn’t make any sense to me.
