Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound was released in 1945. The film concerns an amnesiac (played by Gregory Peck) and a beautiful psychoanalyst (Ingrid Bergman) who tries to help him recover his memory. The film culminates in the analysis of a recurring dream Peck been having.
The film’s famous dream sequence was designed by Salvador Dali. It may very well be the most over-the-top dream sequence ever committed to celluloid.
