Welcome to Flying Week here at Idle Brains. Each day this week, we’ll be posting a different dream about flying. We have some great stuff in store for you, so keep checking in throughout the week.
Also, if you have a dream about flying that you haven’t sent us, this is your last chance to submit it for inclusion in this week’s lineup. Dreams can be emailed to idlebrains@garthsworld.org, or check out our submission guidelines for more details.
Thanks to Hilary for bringing to our attention the song “Anchor” by the Minutemen. The video is pretty low quality, but the song is well worth a listen.
I was in Montenegro, which—in my dream—was the birthplace of beer, but when I got to taste the world’s first beer, it turned out to be Budweiser. I was disappointed.

This is not a dream, but a story about a dream… or not.
One night shortly after Eleanor turned 3, I woke up when I heard her cry out in the middle of the night. I stumbled half-asleep into her room, picked her up and held her in my arms. Then, suddenly, she laughed. Her eyes were still closed and she seemed to be asleep.
“What’s so funny?” I whispered. “Are you laughing at something in your dream?”
She opened her eyes and looked up at me.
“It was YOUR dream,” she said.

Of course, as always, we are still interested in other sorts of dreams, too. So please keep sending in all your interesting dreams, whether they’re about flying or not.
